How to get rid of Yellow Toenails?

• Take two and a half tbsp of baking soda and 1tbsp of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl and mix them well to get a fine paste. Using a cotton swab take a small quantity of this paste and apply them on and beneath your nails if possible. Let this paste be on your nails for around 3-4 minutes. And then wash your nails with warm water. If you continue this procedure for about 2-3 weeks then the yellow color on your toenails can be reduced.
• Yellow toenails usually occur due to toenails fungus. So you can take some oral anti-fungal medications after consulting with your doctor. They help in reducing the infection caused by fungus on your nails. However, this does not work always. So you should not totally depend on these anti-fungal medications.
• If only a part of your toenail has turned yellow, then you can trim them off, thus preventing them from further growth of fungus to the rest of your toenails. This should be done after consulting your doctor as he will examine your nails and then decide according to the severity of the toenails.
• Tea tree oil is also a natural treatment for toenails fungus. Take a cotton swab and soak it in tea tree oil. Apply this to your toes either in the morning or at night after having a bath.
• One of the home remedies for treating yellow toenails is using lemon juice. Take some fresh lemon juice and warm water and mix them well. Put your feet affected by yellow toenails into this mixture for 5 minutes. You will see the change in the color of your toenails if you continue this for about a week.
• You can also soak your nails in a bowl containing a mixture of warm water and apple cider vinegar to get rid of yellow toenails.
